This week, the City of Cape Coral is temporarily closing two playgrounds so they can be repaired and upgraded.
Pelican Baseball Playground, 4128 Pelican Blvd., will close for resurfacing and is expected to reopen in approximately three weeks.
Joe Stonis Park Playground, 3444 Ceitus Pkwy., will close for a full replacement project and is anticipated to remain closed for about three months.
Signs will be posted on-site to notify park visitors during the closures. All other park amenities will remain open to the public.
