Art Exhibit Set to Open

The newest installation of Gulf Coast Gallery – Gulf Coast Village and the North Fort Myers Arts Association’s series of rotating art exhibits – is set to open on Thursday, March 26th in Cape Coral. Entitled Eat, Pray, Love, the exhibit's debut will feature a meet-and-greet with the exhibit’s featured artists.

The 250 Foot Flag Could Happen

An anonymous donor has agreed to cover the balance of the funds needed to install the 250-foot flag at Bernice Braden Park. The bid to install the flag came in at $420,000. As of Wednesday night, $270,000 has been raised.

The City of Cape Coral did not receive any proposals from a 3rd party to partner with them on the Yacht Club rebuild. The council was hoping there would be interest from other developers or businesses to partner with the city. They called it a fishing expedition.

On Wednesday, the Cape Coral City Council instructed the City Attorney to clarify council meeting rules to allow the public to applaud during achievements and recognitions which take place at the start of every meeting.
