The City of Cape Coral did not receive any proposals from a 3rd party to partner with them on the Yacht Club rebuild. The council was hoping there would be interest from other developers or businesses to partner with the city. They called it a fishing expedition.

On Wednesday, the Cape Coral City Council instructed the City Attorney to clarify council meeting rules to allow the public to applaud during achievements and recognitions which take place at the start of every meeting.

The 24th Annual Burrowing Owl Festival, sponsored by Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife is tomorrow. The popular event is held at Rotary Park on Garden Road from 10AM to 4PM.
