City Hosting BMX Championships
The City of Cape Coral is hosting the USA BMX 2026 Florida State Championship Races Friday through Sunday at the Strausser BMX Sports Complex, located at 1410 SW 6th Pl.
Next Free Concert is Next Week

Joe Stonis Ribbon Cutting Today
Another new park playground ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held today. At 10AM the new Joe Stonis Park playground will be celebrated. The new Jim Jeffers Park playground was unvelied last Friday.
The 250 Foot Flag Could Happen
An anonymous donor has agreed to cover the balance of the funds needed to install the 250-foot flag at Bernice Braden Park. The bid to install the flag came in at $420,000. As of Wednesday night, $270,000 has been raised.
All Abilities Play Fundraiser is Saturday
The 3rd Annual SWFL Whole Health Fair is Saturday Noon to 3PM at the new location of Shark Bite Fitness and Nutrition on SW 7th Place. All proceeds from the event will be donated to All Abilities Play.

A Fishing Expedition And Not Even a Nibble.
The City of Cape Coral did not receive any proposals from a 3rd party to partner with them on the Yacht Club rebuild. The council was hoping there would be interest from other developers or businesses to partner with the city. They called it a fishing expedition.
Clapping Rules Clarified
On Wednesday, the Cape Coral City Council instructed the City Attorney to clarify council meeting rules to allow the public to applaud during achievements and recognitions which take place at the start of every meeting.
