Keep Lee County Beautiful, in partnership with the City of Cape Coral, is celebrating the success of its Adopt-A-Road Program, which includes local businesses, civic groups, schools, and residents dedicated to keeping Cape Coral’s roadways clean and litter-free.

KLCB is currently hosting a series of ribbon-cutting ceremonies to honor the groups who have officially adopted road segments across the city. These celebrations recognize the volunteers’ ongoing dedication to protecting Cape Coral’s environment, enhancing neighborhood pride, and inspiring others to take part in keeping the community green.

Our Adopt-A-Road partners are the heart of what we do,” said Jenn Downes, Education Specialist for Keep Lee County Beautiful. “Each cleanup makes a visible difference. These volunteers are taking ownership of their community and showing that small acts of care can have a big environmental impact.”

The Adopt-A-Road Program invites groups to adopt a designated stretch of roadway and commit to conducting regular litter cleanups throughout the year. In return, participants are recognized with official signage along their adopted road and through public acknowledgments at ribbon-cutting events.

Participants include a wide range of community members – from local schools and scout troops to small businesses and neighborhood associations – all sharing the common goal of preserving the natural beauty of Cape Coral.

Keep Lee County Beautiful encourages more groups to join the movement and help expand the impact of the program. To learn more about adopting a road or joining a cleanup event, visit www.klcb.org or email jenn@klcb.org
